Evelyn Ann Maupin

Evelyn Ann Maupin age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 11, 2025.

Evelyn was the oldest of 7 children born to Leonard and Thelma Lambert on April 2, 1934 in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada.

Evelyn married Benjamin Hoffer on August 16, 1952, and they raised their children in southern California. In 1992 Evelyn returned to Canada to care for her father and mother in their later years. Upon their passing, she moved to New Mexico to live near her eldest daughter Susan, and then to Utah to be with family. Along the way she made many lifelong friends. They meant so much to her. She always stayed in touch and remained true and faithful. Evelyn was a social butterfly who thrived on people and loved a party.

Evelyn retired from Singer Sewing Co. and was a talented seamstress. She loved to sew, knit, and do just about any kind of craft and was a fantastic cook. She shared her love and skills with her children and grandchildren. She was also a fierce card player and you were lucky to win a game.

Evelyn was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was marked by love, kindness, and compassion for all she met. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and the many whose hearts were touched by her.

Evelyn lived her last four years at Wellington Assisted Living and our many thanks go out to them for all their kindness and loving care in her last days.
Evelyn will be remembered by all those she loved and touched deeply: CHILDREN: Susan Cannon, Dale Hoffer, Cathy Anderson (Lyndon). GRANDCHILDREN: Cari Obuchon (Dave), Wesley Planovsky (Lindsay), Rebecca Planovsky (Kevin), Tanner Planovsky (Melissa). GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Kiana Holmes, Kaylee Holmes, Khiara Planovsky, Khaliya Love and Mikah Planovsky. SIBLINGS: Shirley Diakiw, Lyle Lambert (Betty), Ralph Lambert (Sharon), Donna Hunchak, Harvey Lambert (Margaret). Many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by Granddaughter: Victoria Planovsky, Parents: Leonard Lambert, Thelma Lambert, and Sister Darlene Tofflemire.

Celebration of life will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Barn at Wheeler Farm 6351 S 900 E Murray, UT 84121.
