JoAnn Runchel Trappett
Born August 15, 1955 to Eyler W. and Edna S Runchel in Ogden, Utah. Passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 peacefully after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Jerry Marcelis and her sister Margaret Sall were by her side.
She was reunited with her parents and her brothers, Dahl and James. She leaves behind her son Derick and Daughter in law Brittany O'Connor with their kids Liam, Noah and Emma. Daughter Aneice Rounkles with her daughter Nova. Three brothers Gary (Nadine) Runchel, Ryan Lloyd (Emily) Runchel, Dave (SheriAnn) Runchel, her sister Margaret (Bob) Sall, and lots of nieces and nephews. JoAnn has many life long friends and family that will miss her too. She loved so many.
JoAnn worked for Hill Air Force Base for 33 years. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan and loved talking about the games. She loved walking and working in the yard with Jerry and his family, and also spending time with her kids and grandkids. JoAnn's smile was contagious and her frown made you wonder what you did wrong. She was really great at teasing and dished it out all the time.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held on the morning of Saturday January 21st at 3407 W 9625 S, South Jordan, UT from 10:30 - 12:30. She will be buried in the Roy City Cemetery in June.
