Erma Lee Roberts

Our loving mother, nana, sister and friend, Erma Lee Roberts, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, June 25, 2022 after a battle with cancer.

Erma was born October 31, 1959 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Anne Leora Page. She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. Throughout her life, she lived in New Mexico, Colorado, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Arizona, and Utah. Her favorite place to be was near the water and in the sun. She loved her time in Florida the most!

Those who knew Erma couldn't help but fall in love with her beautiful smile, loving heart and spunky personality. Erma will be remembered as a beautiful, compassionate, generous, loving soul. She brightened every room she walked into and was the life of the party! She was always an advocate for the underdog, and touched so many lives. She will be deeply missed by so many.

Erma began her law enforcement career as a dispatcher at the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1982. Being a dispatcher, however, wasn’t exciting enough for her! She applied and was accepted to attend the law enforcement academy in 1983. Erma served as a patrol officer and detective for Bernalillo County. Looking for a better place to raise her children, she moved to Los Alamos, NM where she was a patrol officer, DARE officer, and Community Liaison for Los Alamos Police Department. She was then hired by the Bureau of Land Management as a Federal Law enforcement Agent. She attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, GA in 1991 and fell in love with the area, especially
St. Simon’s Island. Erma worked with BLM as a criminal undercover investigator until 1994. Erma was a great police officer. One of her former partners said “I am one hell of a pistol shot, and she could out shoot me.” Everything Erma did, she did with passion and with the goal of being the very best.
In 2003, Erma decided to pursue a life-long dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She graduated with honors from Indian River State College in Ft. Peirce, FL. Erma loved being a nurse, which is no surprise to those who knew and loved her. Her loving, compassionate nature made her one of the best. After working as a traveling nurse for several years, she settled in Ogden, Utah to be close to family. Erma worked at Aspen Assisted Living as an Administrator. She was so loved by the staff and residents at Aspen. Erma’s family has received countless messages from staff, residents, and family letting them know how wonderful she was with each of them, and how much she will be missed. Erma’s loss will be felt by so many, including her daughter Leora Warnes (Jason), son Bear Sedillo (LaRhea), grandchildren Tanner, Riley, Peyton, and Hope, sisters Gale Stewart, Susann Page, and Kathey Sanchez-Nelson, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and countless friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Erma on July 1st, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Eden Park
Community Center, 2100 N 5600 E, Eden, Utah 84310.
