Anita Louise Anderson, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Sandy Health and Rehab in hospice care in Sandy, Utah. Anita was born on September 25, 1943 in Clyde, Ohio to the late Robert and Margaret Hintz (Ritchey). Anita was raised her entire childhood in Clyde, Ohio and graduated from Clyde High School, class of 1961. She had 2 brothers; Donnie and Bobby, she also had 4 sisters; Margie, Evie, Doris, and LaVaughn. Anita had 5 children with her former husband, the late William Leroy Laub Sr.; William Laub Jr. (Cindy) Crestline, Ohio, Barbara Ellington (Nate) Salt Lake City, Utah, Victoria McDougal (Troy) Sandy, Utah, Matthew Laub, Bellevue, Ohio, and Cynthia Karol ,Cary, North Carolina. Anita was later remarried and divorced to Richard Anderson. Anita had 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She had lived in the Salt Lake City area since the early 1980’s. She enjoyed crocheting in her younger years and had made several baby blankets for her grandchildren. She also took pride in her altar guild service at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church where she made lifelong friends. She went to college later in life. She attended Sewanee: University of the South where she studied Theology in 1995. She is also an Alumni of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she studied Psychology and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in 2000. While going back to school she discovered her passion for art and photography.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings and 1 grandchild. There are no funeral services at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
