Our Team
Jodi Reese
Director of Utah Simple Cremations
Jodi was born in Santa Monica, CA. She is one of 8 siblings and loves her family. She moved to Utah in 1988 to pursue her education. She entered the cremation and pre-need industry in 2015 as a sales consultant. She loved sitting down with families and helping them plan out their services in advance and seeing the relief that this brought to them and their families. This love of service to others eventually led her to her current position as the Director of Utah Simple Cremations.
Some of Jodi's best memories include being involved with foster care, spending time with her family on trips abroad, backpacking throughout Europe, remodeling every single home that she has lived in and applying her personal touches and shopping whenever she can.
Jodi is happily married with four children and resides in Holladay.
Amanda Mortensen
Cremation Specialist
Amanda was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana. Thirteen years ago, she bought a house in Lehi, Utah, and has loved living there ever since.
She has ten siblings, over forty nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Family is very important to Amanda, and she cherishes the time they spend together. They enjoy talking, laughing, sharing meals, and playing games.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys walking and reading. Most evenings, she can be found walking in the Lehi Cemetery, listening to a podcast or audiobook.
Amanda has worked in the funeral industry for the past seventeen years. For six years, she worked with headstones and burial vaults. She then spent ten years as an office manager for a funeral home, and most recently, she has worked as a cremation specialist.
She enjoys working with families and feels she has a great deal of empathy, having lost both her mother and a sister at a young age.
Amanda entered the funeral business by chance, but it has proven to be a very fulfilling career. It has taught her a great deal about herself, other people, and how to show compassion and patience.
