Steven Leroy Young

1956 - 2023

Steven Leroy Young

Steve was born on February 20, 1956 and passed away on August 11, 2023. He was a
beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He died suddenly and
unexpectedly of a fall at home. Those of us left behind are distressed, shocked and hurt.
Thank you to all his friends and family that invited him to share many events in their
lives. He was honest, generous, and loyal to a fault. He was an uncommonly good man,
an exceptionally loving husband, brother, dad and grandfather. He was an extraordinary
person with a tremendous sense of humor. Steve lived a life surrounded by friends, and
considered himself lucky.

Steve was born in Wichita, Kansas and moved to Utah when he was a child. After
graduating from Skyline High School he pursued a career in construction. He worked on
many large construction sites in Utah.

Steve and Judy lived in the house his father had built. They finished their basement and worked hard to keep the house
up-to-date. Steve loved to build things and he was very talented in doing so. He built time-out benches for his grandchildren, doggie stairs and many other things.

He is survived by his beloved wife Judy, his brother David, and his sister Karen. As well as his daughter’s Melissa Larsen
(Greg), Chelsea Triplet (Greg) and his stepsons William Osborne (Cori) and Jessee Osborne (Rachelle). His grandchildren
include; Shianne, Sydnie, Tyla, Colton, Kambree, Braelee, Maicee, Ryleigh, Lucas, CJ, Jamison and Marcus. He is also
survived by his beloved dog Tylo.

We have no idea how life will go on without him.

A celebration of life will be held at the Young’s house on Thursday, August 24 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at 1200 Wayside
Dr. Sandy, UT 84094.
