Francisco (Frank) Louis Garcia

Francisco (Frank) Garcia passed away on 04-08-24, which was also his Birthday, born in New Mexico 04-08-47. His family was able to be by his side after a tragic auto accident to say their farewells. He was a generous man to a fault, always giving, even if that meant he went without. His heart was bigger than his chest could hold. Survived by his 4 daughters: Natalie Garcia, Tiffanie Garcia, W Dalmatian, Katie Evans and 4 grandchildren. Frank was one of 14 children from Mother Francis Ortiz and had many Nieces and Nephews. Proceeded in death by many he loved.

Frank led an interesting life that left an indelible mark on those who knew him. Having had an illustrious career as a welter weight, Golden Glove boxer. Francisco fought with passion through the inequities life threw at him. Always the provocative, well dressed man, proudly dressed to the nines on every occasion. Francisco retired from Ford Motor Company in Chicago Illinois. His favorite pastime was tinkering on a canary yellow, brass and chrome 1932 Ford coupe roadster, he affectionately named “Becky”.

He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Francisco’s life will be held Thursday, April 11th from 6:00-8:00pm at: Lone Peak Pavilion 10140 South 700 East Sandy, Utah 84094. Rest in peace, Francisco. Your spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
