Diana Lynn (Ulrich) Handrahan

Diana passed away on September 27, 2024, in Layton, Utah at the age of 70. Born on September 9, 1954, to Walter and Lois Ulrich in La Jolla, California. Diana was known for her kind, gentle, creative, and intelligent nature.

Diana furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Math at Weber State University. She built a successful career as a biostatistician for Intermountain Health, applying her intelligence and creativity to her work. She was proud of her work coauthoring many important research projects.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she enjoyed serving in nursery and activity days with her husband George.

Diana loved traveling with her husband. They enjoyed trips to Ireland, Williamsburg, London, Paris, Rome, Hawaii, and a river cruise on the Danube. She learned quilting, knitting, tatting, crocheting, card making, soap making, and gardening, all of which brought her great joy and allowed her to express her creative spirit.

She is survived by her beloved husband, George, children, Corbet (Luanne), Karen (Christian), Scout (Denise), and Rosie (Mike), cherished grandchildren, Katherine, Gabriel, Savannah, Christine, Abbie, Ellen, Zaylie, Brian, James, Cody, Fiona, and JP. Diana also leaves behind her sisters, Debby and Deneille. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Lois.



We would like to thank the nurses and care team at Holy Cross Hospital Davis for their skilled and compassionate care.

A celebration of life open house will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 628 S Angel St. Layton on October 12, 2024, from 3-7 pm. Diana's life and legacy was one of vibrant contribution and loving service, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
