Jeanne Marston Rankin

Jeanne Marston Rankin, 65, passed away Tuesday morning, October 15th, after her 5 year battle with cancer. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home with family and friends.

A native of Utah, she was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband, Robin, and her two children, Jean Louise and Ben, her mother, Imogene, her sister, Jan Marston Welch (Vedel) and children, and her brother Jeff Marston (Nancy Lusk) and child. She was
preceded in death by her father, Glenn Marston.

She was active in her ward in the primary. She enjoyed family history research and often took family names to the temple. She loved her ward and thought the ward was accepting and kind and no nonsense.

She loved her family, her horses, her dogs and cats, training dogs, and her dream home.

Jeanne was opinionated with a smile. She always thought the best of people and saw their potential and believed in them. She was optimistic, confident, encouraging, comforting, annoying at times. She loved playing cards, her community, was creative, had great ambitions, loved crafts, textile arts, knitting and spinning, and building with Lego. She was patient and nurturing and a great educator. She followed through on her pursuits to become a nurse later in life. She loved working and keeping busy.

Anyone who was lucky enough to know her knew her life force was bright and optimistic. She was accepting of others and all their quirks. She 'collected people' and kept them close. She made a family from strangers. She will be greatly missed.
