With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Jodi Ann (Oleson) Church, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who departed this life on October 30, 2024, at the age of 46. Jodi was a source of warmth, strength, and joy, whose faith and love touched all who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
Jodi was born on July 28, 1978, in Fairmont, Minnesota, to Dave and Pat (Fessler) Oleson. She was the first of three children and embraced herrole with love, laughter, and kindness. Raised in Armstrong, Iowa, Jodi graduated from Armstrong-Ringsted High School in 1996 and pursued her general studies at Iowa Central Community College. Following her passion for helping others, she attended Northwestern Health Sciences University, where she
earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic in November 2001. Shortly after, Jodi opened her own practice, Bridge Chiropractic in Shakopee, Minnesota, where she spent her career healing others and sharing her faith in Jesus Christ.
On February 11, 2002, Jodi married her soulmate, Matthew John Church. She embraced Matthew’s daughter from a previous marriage, Samantha Kay, as her own, and together they were blessed with two beautiful children, Mckenzee Joy and Isaiah Matthew. Her family was her greatest joy, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to nurturing them with love, faith, and encouragement.
Jodi was known not only for her skill as a chiropractor but also for her caring heart, gentle spirit, and devotion to her faith. She had a talent for bringing comfort to those in need, whether through her work, her words, or simply her presence. Jodi also loved to travel, finding joy in exploring God’s creation with her loved ones.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Matthew; her children, Samantha Kay, Mckenzee Joy, and Isaiah Matthew; her parents, Dave and Pat Oleson; and her siblings. Preceded in death by her cousin, Abby Ann Fessler; her maternal grandparents, Ray and Elgene Fessler; her paternal grandparents, Maynard and Charlotte Oleson; her uncle, Gary Oleson; her mother-in-law, Ginger Church; and many extended family members and friends who adored her.
A visitation to honor Jodi’s life will be held on Friday, November 8, at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of her life at 12 p.m. at Hosanna Shakopee, 1690 Vierling Dr E, Shakopee, MN 55379.
Jodi Ann (Oleson) Church will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her loving spirit, and her devotion to family. Her memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who loved her, and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
