Janet Winn Howcroft

Our beloved Mother, Grandma, Sister, and Daughter.

Passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on January 1, 2025 at the age of 69 in her home surrounded by her son Danny, daughter in-law and granddaughter.

Janet was born July 26,1955 in Provo, Utah to John Orson Winn and Bessie May Long. She spent her childhood in the Provo area before moving to Salt Lake City where she attended Kearns high-school and graduated in 1973. She married in 1974 but later divorced. Janet was blessed with three boys that she loved very deeply.

Janet was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan. She never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite team, win or lose she loved those Cubs! When she couldnt watch a live game, she made sure to record it to watch later. Janet worked in the retail setting for over 40 years and eventually retired at the age of 62.

Janet’s love for her boys was immeasurable and would do anything for them. She was also blessed with five beautiful granddaughters, whom she cherished and loved spending time with whenever possible.

Janet's favorite restaurant was El Rancho Grande and visited as often as she could. She also had a sweet spot for ice-cream and diet pepsi.

Janet is survived by her three sons, Brandon Howcroft, Jeff (Janelle) Howcroft and Danny (Jaleen) Howcroft. And one sister Sheila Brannon and five granddaughters. Also, many loving nieces and nephews.

Janet is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Norm, Larry, Albert, Rick and two sisters, LaRae and Carol, also a daughter in-law Dana Howcroft.
