Bret Allen Fisher

Bret Allen Fisher, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 3,2025, at the age of 65. Born on April 3, 1959, Bret lived a life filled with love and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his siblings, James Potter (Kathy) and Laurel Cayton; his nephews, Travis Potter (Tiffani), Ryan Potter (Ashlee), and Jason Otterstrom (Noelia); his extended family, including Sandy, Michelle (Steve), David (Marianne), James (Ann), Mary Gene (Michael), Nicholas, Ryan, Linda, Milton, Allen, Duane, Abe, Ben, Fern, Edward, Richard, Sara, Vickie, Carissa, and Jonathan; his stepsisters, Joanne and Valerie; and his cherished godchildren, Addison PotterRauzon and Kate PotterRauzon.

Bret was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carole Fisher; his parents, Gene Allen and Robert Fisher; and his brothers, Bobbi Potter and Richard Potter, who surely welcomed him with open arms.

Family was at the heart of Bret’s life, and he found great joy in being actively involved in the lives of his family, especially his godchildren. He always offered his unwavering love and support.

Alongside his devotion to family, Bret and Carole shared a deep passion for adventure. They traveled extensively, exploring countless countries and embarking on numerous cruises to experience the beauty and wonder of the world. Their shared love for NASCAR, particularly their admiration for Tony Stewart, also brought them closer, as they attended many races together and celebrated the thrill of the sport.

Bret faced significant health challenges, including diabetes and heart issues, yet he approached each day with remarkable strength and resilience. Sickness is a heavy burden, but we find solace in knowing he is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with Carole and his beloved family members who passed before him.

A celebration of life will be held later this year, where we will gather to honor his memory and cherish the time we were fortunate to share with him.
