After a courageous 19.5-year battle with breast cancer, Caron Lynn Gould passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend who touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness. Caron left a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to others, both in her personal relationships and through her work.
Born and raised on the East Coast, Caron later settled in Utah, her mother’s home state, where she built a life centered on family and service. After raising three children, she pursued her passion for helping others, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Utah. As a licensed clinical social worker, Caron dedicated the last five years of her life to supporting those in need, offering guidance, care, and understanding to all who sought her help. Her strength and unwavering spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Caron is survived by her mother, Charlene Lund, and her second father, Paul Lund; her husband, John; her three cherished children, Vance and April Almquist and Brian Gould; and granddaughters, Adelaide and Naomi. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Clayton, Robert, and Jon Anderson.
Caron’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 17th, at 6:30 pm, at the South Valley Unitarian Church, 6876 South Highland Drive, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
