Louis John Kirkendall

Louis Kirkendall passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 27th, at the age of 59. Born in Provo, Utah, on December 6th, 1965, Louis was a vibrant soul whose presence lit up every room he entered.

He was the beloved son of Glennis Teressa Kirkendall and Hugh Richmond Kirkendall, who preceded him in death, along with his brother Glenn Kirkendall and his first wife, Tammie Lee Kirkendall. Louis is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cathy Kirkendall; his brothers, Peter Guy Kirkendall and K. Richmond Kirkendall; and his daughters, Lindzee, Aymee, and Danielle. He was a proud and playful grandfather to five granddaughters: Morganlee, Ariel, Lola, Zoey, and Ksenija.

Louis spent much of his life working in the steel industry, but he will be remembered most for his unforgettable spirit. He was the life of the party, known for his booming laugh, brilliant smile, and unforgettable stories. A wild child at heart, Louis grew into a man who cherished his family, especially the time spent singing, laughing, and playing with his granddaughters. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on June 14th at 4:30 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 3751 South 2200 West, West Valley City, Utah.
