Ashley Lynn Miller, lovingly known by many names—Sissa, Sissy, Ash, Little, and Bash—passed away on May 21, 2025, in her hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 27. Born on June 17, 1997, Ashley filled every moment of her life with fierce determination, unforgettable energy, and endless love.
She was the beloved daughter of Amber Miller and the late Ryan Miller; the cherished sister of Michelle Dansie and Braxton Miller; Long time girl friend of Logan Densley; Ashley was also deeply adored by Dane her "Bubby". She is survived by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, the Densley family, extended family, and an incredible number of friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father/best friend Ryan Miller, grandfather Terry Miller, grandmother Sherry Kolothros, great-grandparents, and other cherished extended family.
Ashley had a “spicy” attitude and a passion for life that never faded, even in the face of adversity. She was a true fighter—resilient, brave, and endlessly loving. She made the most of every moment she had, and found joy in four-wheeling, camping, boating, and especially spending time with her family and friends. Her laughter, strength, and unwavering spirit were gifts to all who knew her.
A passionate donor advocate, Ashley knew firsthand the power of giving. She received the precious gift of more time through organ donation, and in her passing, she was able to give that same gift to someone else—a final act of love that defined who she was.
Those closest to Ashley will gather to honor her at Larkin Sunset Gardens, with a larger celebration of her life to be held at a later date (TBD).
Ashley loved saying "ES-CA-PAY" every time she left the hospital floor to explore—even if just for a moment. That word now holds special meaning to all who knew her, a reminder of her adventurous spirit and unbreakable will.
Her family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped ease the burden of her end-of-life wishes through their donations. An extra special thank you goes to the T-10 nursing staff, CNAs, and the transplant team at IMC, who gave us 20 more beautiful months with our girl.
Ashley’s light lives on in each of us—and through the lives she’s touched, both here and beyond.
