Tracy August Kinder, 46, passed away at his Riverton home, surrounded by his loved ones on June 5, 2025.

Tracy was born on February 2nd, 1979, to Jeanette LaRue Holliman Kinder and Dennis Sherman Kinder.

Tracy made a career in the traffic control industry for over twenty-five years. In doing so, he had earned the reputation as “The Drum God”. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to get the job done when no one else could or wanted to. Tracy helped write many of UDOT’s traffic control manuals and guidelines over the years. Anyone who worked in the industry long enough would know the name Tracy Kinder.
Tracy met the love of his life, Emily, in 1998 and had four children: Zach, Breanna, Layne, and Tyler.

Tracy loved his children and was extremely family oriented. Often planning family outings that include Boondocks, Top Golf, camping, shooting, hunting, or anything he could do as a family.

Tracy loved being outdoors, working on trucks, and doing projects in his garage/house. He had a love for Currant Creek and Red Creek Reservoirs. He would often camp and hunt there with family and friends. Growing up he loved riding dirt bikes and four wheelers, passing on these passions to his children throughout the years. Tracy had a passion for customizing trucks. He would add custom wheels, tires, lights, and decals to any truck he had to ensure that it stood out and you knew it was his.

For the last twenty-seven years Tracy loved Emily with all his heart and didn’t feel complete if she wasn’t with him. Emily was by his side to the end.
