Cristina Abigail Rausch
Returned home to Heavenly Father and Mother on June 22nd, 2025 in Murray, Utah. She was born under the covenant on March 18th, 1997 to Roger and Sheri Rausch in Salt Lak City, Utah. She is the Second of Five children, and the oldest Girl child of Roger and Sheri. She came into this world as she left; Peaceful and calm. Cristina was a follower and disciple of Jesus Christ; she chose to be baptized by her father in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Cristina had a desire to read and own stories. She is an author, a poet, and a singer, she could quote random stanzas of movies and tv shows and expect you to recall and tell her where it came from. She kept us all on our toes. When we couldn't recall, she was equally sharp with a retort or oo'oh and a roll of her eyes.
Cristina started her primary education at Rose Crest Elementary in Holladay Utah, and then finished at Academy Park Elementary, in West Valley City. Then made her way to Kennedy Jr High, where she found her knish. By 8th grade she was reading at a college level and higher and enjoyed talking books with the librarians at Kennedy and Hunter Library. She won many contests of what boo is this or a shredded book at Hunter library in a jar. hunter High is where she graduated with mom and dad honors. She never wanted to be an athlete or anything else but an Editor, and that doesn't come with a ribbon. In the sense of school sports, but she was a great cheerleader for her siblings. She did become certified to save people from water, and she was a fish in water. Being asked to tryout for the KOPFC team.
Cristina enjoyed camping and hiking small hikes, that have a view. She had 2 main national parks she'd drop everything to go too with friends and family. Capital Reef and Flaming Gorge. She would say, her dad made her fish. So, he had to unhook the fish she caught. One of our most cherished memories of her fishing, would be, seeing her walk her pole to her dad with the fish on the line, and wait for him to remove it. She only kissed one fish and prpmptly gagged.
Cristina was an avid crocheter and quilter. A love she got from her Great Grandma Winnie and mom. Her first title was Daughter, she then became a Fahu in 2019 when Warren and Filipine married, and a Titi when Oaklee was born in 2020. She was so proud of these two titles, she cherished her responsibilities for family. Closely behind Oaklee there came Sophia, Bo-Alan, and Manase Rausch. She adored and loved them all so very much. She was waiting for Eric and Becca's baby to come in August. But God had other plans.
She was 28 years and 3 months old when she passed from this realm to heaven. For 19 months she fought ovarian cancer. She fought for a future family of her own. She fought to see motherhood. She fought to see her siblings married and happy. But it wasn't to be. There is a hole in our lives, that can never be filled and we will cherish her for all eternity. The love we have shared is sacred and precious to us.
We wish to thank those that served her in the fight, Cancer Specialist of Utah. Dr. Strubar, Dr. Samuelson, and their nurses and staff members who became fast friends. We also thank the team of Hospice and Nurses at IMC Murray, Floor 9, for their professional care of keeping Cristina comfortable as she left us. I am grateful for their diligence and care.
She is survived by her Parents, Siblings: Warren (Filipine), Eric (Becca), Isabella (Ami), Kael. Nieces and Nephews; Oaklee, Sophia, Bo-Alan, Manase. Her animal: Rollo. Preceded in Death; Gramps & Mcmama McGarvey, George & Connie Rausch. Winnie McGarvey, Bertha Tart. Grand and Great Grandparents.

There will be no interment, nor viewing. Our loving daughter asks that you donate in lieu of flowers to Huntsman Cancer research, for Muscosal Ovarian Cancer. We are too thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His plan of happiness; it has brought us closer as a family and our testimonies have grown for knowing Him and loving Him. His promises, He will keep. We will see her again.
