Rodney Alan Crowther
Peace be with you, Rodney Crowther. Until we meet again.
Rodney Alan Crowther, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. He was born April 27, 1957 in Provo, Utah to Arven and Wanda Crowther.
Rodney is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Rodney completed six years of Spanish in junior high and high school and one year of German. He served a full-time mission for the Church in the Germany Düsseldorf Mission. He loved German culture and its food. Over the years after his mission he learned Spanish well, as he learned to communicate with coworkers in his various jobs.
Rodney is the oldest in a family with three younger brothers and a sister: Jay, Paul, David, Janine. As the oldest, he was looked to as an example whether he wanted that or not. His example of church and missionary service, and marriage in the temple influenced others in his family.
Rodney graduated from Cottonwood High School in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Rodney married his lifelong friend Vickie Crowther.
Rodney enjoyed learning things and he enjoyed food. He was good-natured and tried to get along with others.
Rodney is survived by his daughters, Cynthia and Talia; lifelong friend, Vickie Crowther; parents, Arven and Wanda Crowther; his brothers, Jay (LouAnn), Paul (Janet), David (Becky); and nieces (Leslie, Ashley, Kayla, Riley, Alyssa), nephews (Thomas, Colby, Nathan, Mike, Jared), and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Rodney is preceded in death by his sister, Janine.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 2101 West 3100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
