Suzie Anaid Harris

Suzie (Snow) Harris

Our beloved wife, sister, and mother passed away on September 1, 2025 in Taylorsville, Utah at Legacy Care facility after a long bout with heart and kidney issues. She was 71 at the time of her passing.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 5, , 1953, the first born of her family. Her mother Donna Manning Snow gave birth to her as a single woman but later married her adopted father Emery V. Snow when she was about three years old. From this family, came her three other siblings; Charles, Kenton, and Mary Snow.

From her early age and to adulthood, she was raised in Rose Park and attended school at Newman, Northwest, and then West High School where she graduated in 1972. She later went on to do schooling at LDS Business College, and the University of Phoenix achieving a MBA and advanced degrees in accounting and business.

Her life as a wife and mother started with a marriage to Calvin Birky and with this union came their son, Lee Birky. After she divorced, she married David McIlrath and from this marriage came her next three children; Katherine, Rebecca, and Mark. Mark lived a short time and died in Alaska at the tender age of 4 ½ months. After divorcing David, she finally married Wayne Harris civilly first and then was later sealed in the Bountiful Temple. This was her final marriage and he was with her when she passed in the care center.

Her life was a trying life and did not take the usual turns, but she worked all her life and had a lot of help from the Snow family in raising her children. This included her parents and siblings who each took a role in raising these two girls to adulthood. Her jobs ranged from a fast-food worker at Arctic Circle, delivery driver at Domino’s and various other jobs in the food industry. She also worked in customer service as an agent for Convergys and USAA Insurance. She loved the veterans and loved serving them and cared deeply for them. Her brother and her last husband as well as her father were veterans and when helping other veterans she felt like she was helping family. She loved old fashioned western television shows, the Denver Broncos, and had beautiful penmanship.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in her lifetime. Her favorite callings were her last two working on the Activities Committee for her ward and assisting her husband to get the church assignments out for cleaning. Her ward was the best ward
according to her and the best in compassionate service and care. The family is forever grateful for Bishop Terry and his wife Bonnie and her many friends and churchgoers who served them, fed them, and helped them in her final years. Our family is forever in debt for the care they gave her.

We are grateful for the countless doctors, nurses, and Legacy Village who helped her in the last few years. The care Legacy gave her on her numerous stays and her last day they gave to her and the family were truly appreciated.

She is survived by her husband; Wayne. She is also survived by her son Lee. She is also survived by her daughters Katherine Frankis (Kevin), and Rebecca Stewart (Joseph). She is also survived by her brother Charles and sister Mary. She was preceded in death by both her parents, brother Kenton, son Mark,
and numerous aunts and uncles and relatives.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13 th at 11:00 a.m. in Star Crest LDS Chapel at 868 North Star Crest Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah. Family will be available to visit one hour prior to the memorial.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Primary Children’s Hospital and the Humane Society of Utah as she loved children and animals especially her eight living grand pups and cats in general.

Rest in Peace until we meet again.
