Colby Scott McGee

Colby Scott McGee, was born December 22, 1987, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 2, 2025. Colby was a vibrant soul who lived life with boundless enthusiasm and a warm, infectious smile that brightened the lives of everyone around him. Colby had a passion for cooking, gaming, reading books, and photography, pouring his heart into his every endeavor. He could always be found behind the camera lens making lasting memories for others. His kind and generous spirit showed through in his hard work and dedication to helping others. He was always ready to lend a hand or share a moment of joy. Colby’s love for life and people touched countless hearts, leaving a legacy of warmth and compassion. He was also a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy.

He is survived by his father, Ronald McGee; mother, Sheri (Edward) McBride; siblings, Ian (Kristi) Carter, Jennifer (Cris) Walker, Samantha (Bryce) Donaldson, Evan McBride, Spencer McBride, and Emmalee McBride (Tristan Camomile); and grandparents, John (Elaine) Sindt and Connie Hill. Along with numerous uncles, aunts, and other family members.

He was proceeded in death by grandparents, Kenneth Hill, Walter McGee, Yvonne Royse and his Uncle Donald McGee.

Celebration of Life services will be held on September 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse, 11196 South Wasatch Boulevard, Sandy, Utah 84092. The family will receive guests following after the service.
