Scott Franz Cornwall November 19, 1955 – September 27, 2025
Scott Franz Cornwall, our much-beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away recently in Bountiful, Utah. He was born on November 19, 1955, in Murray, Utah, to Glenn and Shirley Westover Cornwall.
Scott graduated from Murray High School, where he was twice honored as Best Actor in student productions. He had a beautiful singing voice and attended Weber State University on a music scholarship, excelling in the dramatic arts. In 1975, he received the prestigious Irene Ryan Scholarship Award and was invited to perform with other talented actors at the Kennedy Center. He later earned an Associate of Arts degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena.
Scott lived in Pasadena, California, and later in Houston, Texas, where he worked in several restaurants and as a medical office manager. A master chef, he found joy in experimenting with recipes and cooking for those he loved. He also dabbled in painting and enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, and watching British sitcoms and zombie movies.
He is survived by his sister, Christine (John) Norman; his brothers, Craig (Pam) Cornwall and Mark (Linda) Cornwall; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
