Kevin Russell Hensley

Kevin Russell Hensley passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 18, 2025 after several months of an unexpected illness.

He resided with his eldest son Russell in Eagle Mountain. He was born August 3 1957 in Ravenna OH. He grew up in Ravenna, and graduated from Ravenna High School where he was active in sports and excelled in wrestling.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, he served a 2 year mission in CO. and served in many church leadership positions throughout the years. He was an Ironworker with Local #17 in Cleveland OH, and retired after 25 yrs. He was an entrepreneur in Real Estate, a Smoothie Company and owned an Antique Shop in OH.

He made a family with Susan (Caley) Roberts of 4 beautiful children he loved deeply, 12 grandchildren and one great grandson. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports, but mostly he was a family man, spending time with his children and being a Papa to his grandchildren whom he completely adored.
He was the kind of guy with that unique sense of humor, that smile, that laugh, that presence. He walked into a room and it lit up not just with charisma but with kindness, mischief, with soulful understanding, making long lasting friendships everywhere he went. He will be truly missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents Russell K. and Lillian L (Heeter) Hensley of FL, his brothers Kemper R. Hensley lll OH, Kent R. Hensley FL, and grandson Zachary Fisher OH.

Survived by his children Brianne R. (Patrick) Knisely OH, Russell K. Hensley ll UT, Chase M. (Mary) Hensley CA, Braden M. (Allie) Hensley OH, 11 grandchildren and great grandson. His sisters Kendra R. Hensley TX, Kelly R. Hensley VT, Karla R. Carbaugh FL, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
