Mary Vonnay Isbell

Mary Vonnay Isbell, 77, passed away on December 12, 2025, in Taylorsville, Utah.

Vonnay was born on May 3, 1948, to Bob F. Isbell and Mary Ann Middleton Isbell in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a beloved daughter. Vonnay attended Cyprus High School.
She had two brothers, Bob Isbell and Robin Isbell (deceased). Vonnay worked as a secretary and receptionist, completing her career with Salt Lake City School District.

Vonnay is well loved by her descendants. She had two beautiful children, Roni Kump Reed (Rob), and David Shane Kump (Becky). She had five grandchildren (Brittni
[Ryan], Kevin, Tony, Thomas, and Benjamin), and eight great-grandchildren.

She married and divorced David C. Kump. She had a boyfriend Phillip W. Lucas.

Vonnay was a joy, and everyone who met her fell in love with her. She was happiest in her yard, planting flowers. She also had a large beloved friend group, with whom she
did “dirt church” every Sunday in the Utah mountains. After her retirement, she went to the gym to do yoga and Zumba every week, and even learned to play pickleball. Vonnay
was kind and compassionate, and she made friends everywhere she went. She also loved her niece, nephews, and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, and brother Robin.
