Sharron Lee Preston James passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2026.

Born on August 24, 1938, in Hornell, New York, Sharron was the daughter of Kenneth Ira Preston and Gladys Ruth Shutes. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and remarkable strength.

Sharron was a source of warmth and resilience, offering kindness freely and finding joy in the moments that mattered most. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought light, and her love created bonds that will be cherished for generations.

In 1958, she met the love of her life, LaVell Leo James, and were married on March 26, 1960. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised four children: LaVell Leo James Jr., Troy Evans James, Shanna Lynn James, and Tiffany Ann James.

Sharron is survived by her son, LaVell Leo James Jr.; her daughters, Shanna Lynn James and Tiffany Ann James; six grandchildren; fifteen great‑grandchildren; and her brother, Robert Burdick (Kathy).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LaVell Leo James Sr.; her son, Troy Evans James; and her parents, Kenneth Ira Preston and Gladys Ruth Shutes.

Though we say goodbye for now, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy of love that will never fade.
