David Nelson Reams
David Nelson Reams, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 25, 1947.
David married the love of his life, Karen Reams, on October 7, 1977, in the Manti LDS Temple. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, service, and love. David and Karen were blessed with three sons: Jeff (Anna), Jon (Kristen), and James (Kierston). He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
David has reunited with his beloved parents, Fay and Melissa Reams, who preceded him in death. He was one of eight children and is survived by his seven siblings, with whom he shared many memories throughout his life.
David was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and happiness in nature. He was a talented craftsman and loved spending time outdoors hiking, exploring, and sharing adventures with those he loved. Known as an epic home teacher and a man always willing to serve others, David lived a life of quiet generosity, compassion, and dedication to helping those around him.
Dave found joy in life as a whole—especially in time with friends, enjoying sweets, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors. He was a loving father, devoted husband, loyal friend, and a steady source of strength and kindness to many. His presence will be deeply missed, but his family finds comfort in the promise of a joyful reunion in the future.
Dave now hikes again with his beloved pet companion, Murphy, and enjoys the eternal perspective he so faithfully believed in.
In lieu of a traditional funeral or viewing, David requested that a celebration of life be held with family at a later date.
By request of the family, please no flowers.
