C. Scott Burris

C. Scott Burris – born on August 24, 1935

Scott passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026 at home surrounded by family, and was reunited with his beloved son, Bryan Burris, who passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2026.

Scott married Diane Darlington on April 27, 1979, and together they raised six incredible children.

Scott was very good with his hands. He loved to tinker with cars/car repairs, and made dozens of radio-controlled airplanes, helicopters, trucks and cars. Right after Star Wars was released, he designed and built a small model R2D2 that was very intricate and had every little detail perfectly in place.
Scott had a fabulous sense of humor. He had an infectious, spontaneous and happy laugh. He always enjoyed a good joke.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served in numerous callings, but the most important calling to him was as a faithful husband and father. He had the gift of prayer…he would always offer the most beautiful prayers to comfort and bless those around him.

Scott is survived by: his wife – Diane Burris: children – Jennifer, Richard, Tiffany (Chad), Cristal, Heidi, daughter-in-law Michone, Michael, David, and Melissa; Mother-in-law Janice Darlington; and brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by; his
parents; his son Bryan; Father-in-law Courtney Darlington; his brother-in-law Scott Darlington.

Our family would like to thank those with True North Home Health and Hospice who so kindly and gently helped us care for him in his final days.

There will be a celebration of life for Scott at a later date.
