Michael Ray Binks

The family of Michael Ray Binks is saddened to announce his passing on April 30, 2026.

Michael was a one-of-a-kind presence who kept those around him laughing and thinking. An army veteran himself, he took great pride in his work supporting veterans, eventually retiring from the VA in Salt Lake City.

His greatest passion was baseball, particularly the New York Yankees. A devoted fan through every win and loss, Michael found a sense of community and joy in the game of baseball that stayed with him throughout his life.

Michael is survived by his mother, Barbara Binks; father, William Binks; sister, Cindy Binks; brother, Gene Binks and his wife; and many nieces and nephews who will miss his humor and presence.

In honor of his memory, his family suggests catching a Yankees game and sharing a story about a time Michael made you smile.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
