Kenneth "Ken" Joseph Yanni
Kenneth “Ken” Yanni, devoted husband, father, and decorated veteran, passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 76. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Ken served his country with distinction as a B-52 pilot during the Vietnam War. He went on to a fulfilling engineering career at the Hoover Dam, where his technical brilliance was matched only by his legendary quick wit.
Ken had a deep love for golf and skiing, and an even deeper love for his family. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bette; daughters Kimberly (Greg) and Amanda (Adam); his beloved granddaughter, Cambria; and his younger brother John.
He will be remembered as an avid reader, someone who believed deeply in equity, and a man whose grumpiness was served with a side of whit and sarcasm in a way that let you know he truly cared. He will be deeply missed.
Celebration of life will be held for friends and family on Saturday, August 8, 2016. Open house from 3:30pm - 6pm at the Millcreek Commons Adventure Hub Conference Room and Sun Deck (park on the north side and walk up the ramp). In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
