Daniel Owen
Danny was born in Anaheim, California. At one year old Danny and his mom moved to Taylorsville, Utah, where Danny grew up surrounded by a loving grandma and grandpa, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Danny grew especially close to his grandma as he was growing up, and shared lots of fun times with her, including when she would make him his favorite breakfast of “eggs beagler” which was how Danny referred to her version of eggs benedict, and "Grams" as he named her, would also pick apples from her backyard apple tree, cut them in half, and fry them in butter for him to snack on. Later as a young man he moved in with her to watch after her as she grew older.
When Danny was young, he loved soccer and his teammates referred to him as the speed demon. One year his team placed 2nd place in a regional championship. Their coach, who felt like his team should have won the championship, bought all the boys a championship trophy. Danny always kept that trophy with his most treasured possessions, as well as memories and stories about his bright orange Converse soccer shoes.
As a young adult, Danny met a special girl, Lena, and they had a son they named Aaron. Danny was so proud of Aaron and cherished his relationship with him, always referring to him as “My Son”. Danny even had a friend ask him if his son had a name other than My Son.
Danny grew to have a passion for skateboarding as a youngster that he carried with him into his teenage years. He also developed a love of music and spent many years working on fine-tuning his skills as a DJ and coming up with original beats. His favorite music composer was John Lennon. He collected studio equipment and had his own studio in his basement where he shared some of his most loving moments with his family and closest friends. He always said, “Music is the Universal Language”. He had a great ear for music, he was proud to say that a lot of people had talent, but not the ear. He also loved art.
Danny is survived by his mom, Marci Lambros, and his stepdad, Tom Lambros; his son Aaron Tuia and Aaron's mom, Lena Tuia; as well as “Aunt Lowy”, Lois Tucker, his favorite aunt.
Rest in Peace, Danny. You are missed much more than you will ever realize. Enjoy your time catching up on things with Grams. We Love You so much.
