Shilo Jason McCleery
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful departure of our beloved Father, Grandfather, Son and friend, Shilo Jason McCleery, on June 21, 2026.
Born into this world on September 9th, 1975, a vibrant and esteemed pillar of our community. Shilo's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled.
He is survived by his cherished children, son, Jason Michael McCleery and Jennifer Feddersen (Jason’s girlfriend), his precious grandchildren, Kaylee and Kaidens McCleery, his brothers, Shelby James McCleery, Greg McCleery Jr, Shaun Milner and Sister, Savanna Reid.
He is remembered fondly by his mother, Charmaine Black, father Greg McCleery Sr., father in law, Bret Black, step mother Roberta McCleery, and his life long love, Jenny McCleery.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lamont and Barbra McCleery, Gordon Childs, Michael and Gi Gi Beyeler, and his uncles Terry and Randy McCleery.
Shilo was a proud graduate of Salt Lake Community College, with a degree in diesel mechanics. He was a man of many passions, from his love for 80’s and 90’s rock and roll and country music, his love for NASCAR and drag racing, to his delight in the simple pleasures of a Mountain Dew. Shilo found joy in fishing, hunting, being outdoors and had a particular talent for rebuilding cars. His favorite color, blue, symbolizing his traits of stability and depth.
Shilo's heart was as vast as the ocean, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. A man who truly embodied the spirit of altruism, he is remembered for his kindness and readiness to assist others. His warm spirit, love for his family, and passion for cars radiated in all aspects of his life.
Some of his greatest achievements include raising his son, Jason and rebuilding his Chevy Stepside. However, his legacy goes beyond these tangible accomplishments. Shilo will be remembered as a kind hearted man who was always ready to help out anyone. His positive outlook on life, even through the struggles, was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Shilo was a remarkable son, friend, father, grandfather, brother and husband and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace, and his legacy live on through the many lives he touched.

Family and friends are welcome to attend funeral services at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, Located at: 1950 E 10600 S Sandy, UT on Friday, July 17th at 10:00 AM.
