Randy Warren Leonhardt
Randy Warren Leonhardt, age 61, passed away on July 23, 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born on January 29, 1965, in Logan, Utah, to Jerrie Hillyard and Warren Leonhardt.
Randy graduated from Logan High School before enlisting in the Utah Army National Guard. While serving in the Utah Army National Guard, he met Marian Smith of Winder, Idaho. They were married in Logan, Utah, in 1986 and welcomed their daughter, Sasha, in June 1987. They made their home in Providence, Utah, where they lived next door to Randy's grandparents, Loral and Oliver Leonhardt. They were later divorced.
Randy spent much of his career as a long-haul truck driver. One of his greatest joys was taking his daughter with him on the road. Together, they created lasting memories as they traveled through all 48 contiguous states. After leaving Providence, Randy moved to Salt Lake City, where he worked as a forklift driver at the Weir ESCO distribution center until his passing.
Randy enjoyed fishing throughout his life. One of his favorite memories was a fishing trip to Alaska with his father and uncles.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Sasha (Benjamin) Burt of Clarkston, Utah; his four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Boston, Bronson, and Baylor Burt; and his sisters, Linda Jo (Mike) McLeod of Roy, Utah, and Tana Williams of Smithfield, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerrie Hillyard and Warren Leonhardt, and his grandparents, Loral and Oliver Leonhardt.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at Valeo Hospice for the compassionate care they provided Randy during his final days.
In accordance with Randy's wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.
