Michael (Mike) Joe Dowd was born on May 14th 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Billy Joe Dowd and Frances Mellor. Mike is survived by his wife-Trudy Dowd, Children- Ashley (Taylor) Mengwasser, Alex (Marlee) Dowd, Brittney Dowd, Granddaughter- Trinity May, MotherFrances Korklewski, Brother-Ronnie (Adam) Dowd, Sisters-Tamara (Kim) Bollschweiler, Chandra (Kelly) Evans, Nieces-Adrienne (Ty) Korklewski, Samantha (Nick) King, and Nephew-Gabriel Evans.

Mike attended Taylorsville High School and later acquired his Journeyman’s license from Salt Lake Community College.

Mike married Marie Fleming and together they welcomed three children, Ashley, Alex and Brittney and later divorced. Mike later married Nicki and later divorced. Later in life Mike reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Trudy. The two married and remained together until his passing.

Mike enjoyed a good game of golf, a long day fishing and traveling anywhere with a warm ocean. He never turned down a cold beer with friends or an opportunity to help someone.

He was known for his wit and good sense of humor, the kind that could make you belly laugh. He loved his children and granddaughter and ended nearly every phone call with, “give so and so a kiss for me.”

He is preceded in death by Father-Billy Joe Dowd and Step Father- Korkey Korklewski.

Mike will be remembered for his humor and his willingness to help others. His laughter, big stories, and the memories he created amongst friends from many places.
