Stephanie Alyson Purpura

Stephanie Alyson Purpura, 45, passed away on July 22, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, creativity, and connection.

Steph’s greatest joy in life was her family.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother who cherished the people she loved more than anything.

She is survived by her husband, James Purpura, and her children, Cannon (Annie) Purpura,

Duncan (Kaylee) Purpura,

Abbie (Gavin) Shea,

Cooper, and Hudson.

She was also a beloved grandmother to her grandson, Fox Shea who held an especially precious place in her heart.

Steph is also survived by her parents, Betty and Todd Montgomery, her brother Derek Montgomery and his family, and her sisters, Krisha Stevenson and Jenilee Sederholm, along with both of their families.

She was preceded in death by her beloved older brother, David Montgomery.

Steph found beauty and meaning in so many parts of life. She had a deep love for art and music and she was drawn to spirituality, nature, and the quiet beauty found in the world around her.

She had a creative spirit and an appreciation for the things that made life feel meaningful and alive.

Her dogs, Zeus and Cyrus, were also an important part of her life and family.

She loved them dearly and treasured the companionship and unconditional love they brought her.

Above all else, Steph will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the lasting place she holds in their hearts. Her presence, her creativity, her spirit, and the memories she created with those she loved will continue to live on through her family and all who knew her.

Though her time here was far too short, Steph’s love will remain—

in the music that reminds us of her, in the beauty of nature, in the art she appreciated, in the stories her family tells, and most of all, in the people she loved so deeply.

She will be profoundly missed forever
