It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Kirsten Birgit Hansen, on September 17, 2026, at the age of 60.

Kirsten was a cherished daughter, sibling, aunt, and great friend, whose warmth, kindness, and love touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Kirsten’s passing was unexpected, leaving family and friends with a deep sense of loss and disbelief.

Kirsten will be remembered for her compassion, strength, love of family, passion for music, life and learning. She created loving and nurturing spaces for her family and friends, taking great pride in her many accomplishments and immense talent for music as her second language.

Above all, Kirsten treasured the people she loved. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and countless memories that will remain in our hearts forever. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave and the memories she created will never be forgotten.

Kirsten is survived by her mother Raija, siblings Kirsi, Sten and Paul and her nieces/nephews Alina, Ociana, Sterling, Pax and Marcus.
We invite all who knew and loved Kirsten to remember her not only with sadness, but with gratitude for the time we were blessed to share with her.
