Steven “Steve” Miller, 39, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 20, 2026. Born on December 27, 1986, Steve grew up with a love for sports and was a standout football player in the Taylorsville Little League football program. He was a defensive specialist and graduated from Taylorsville High School in 2005. Steve found happiness in the simple things, especially spending time fishing and listening to his favorite band, Avenged Sevenfold. Whether he was out on the water or enjoying his music, Steve appreciated the things that brought him joy. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who took pride in his work. Steve was employed at Vericast, where he was known for his strong work ethic and intelligence. He understood the value of hard work and carried that dedication throughout his life. Above all, Steve leaves behind three children, C. Jay, Brooklynn, and Temperance, who will forever be an important part of his legacy. Steve is survived by his parents, Brian and Sally Miller; his children, C. Jay, Brooklynn, and Temperence; his grandparents, Dama and Jake Barbour; his siblings, Ande Miller (AnnMarie), Lindsey Miller, Ashton Miller (Rae), and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore and Bette Miller, cousin, Cody Peterson, Aunt, Debra Miller, and uncle, Brent Barbour. Though his time here was far too short, Steve’s life will be remembered through the stories, laughter, and memories shared by those who loved him. He will be forever remembered. A small, private service will be held for immediate family only.
