Terry Kirk Trease

Terry Kirk Trease, 62 years of age, of West Jordan Utah, passed away at home on July 8th 2021. Choosing to be with family after being diagnosed with an aggressive Cancer.
Terry was born the fourth child of five on June 29th 1959 to parents Norma and David “Bud” Trease. Terry spent most his childhood growing up in the Small mining town of Scofield Utah. Where he developed his love for animals and nature.

Terry was an adventurous man who learned to drum at a very young age, played in a band, and in later years taught others to drum as well. He had a passion for flying planes and could tell you all about the different planes that would fly over head. Terry was never a man to fit in to societies norms. He was very passionate about politics and trying to better his community.

In 1978, Terry met Allison Tye at a concert in Salt Lake City. Though this relationship wasn’t permanent, they went on to have 4 children, Casey, Morgan, Darbi , and Dillon. They chose to raise these children in a quant home in West Jordan Utah.

Terry loved to help people and became the owner of his own Towing company. Because Terry was so honest and caring, he developed a great relationship with the community he served. Terry was trusted by many members of the car community to tow their expensive show cars. He was also known to tow many people’s cars for free if the people were in need. He always had outstanding reviews and loved to read them. His family is very proud of the hard work he did.

Terry was a devoted and caring Dad and Grandpa. When his children were young he worked from home so he could spend more time with them. Whether it was going to the movies, swimming in the family pool, or hauling the kids off on some adventure, Terry’s care always shined through. If you told him you needed him, he was always there to give advice, or lend a hand. Terry loved to tease and play with his grandkids whenever he saw them. He would take them for rides in his tow truck and visit them at their homes. He would go out of his way to make each grandkid feel special, and lovingly tell them not to have “too much fun”. Terry never hesitated to tell and show his family how much he loved them.

In lieu of a funeral, Terry’s family opted to have a party to celebrate the amazing life he lead. The party was filled with lots of love, laughs, and memories from cherished friends and family.

Terry was predeceased in death by His Mother Norma Roberts, Father Bud Trease, Grandparents, and Beloved “Niece” Jamie Perry. Along with many more loved ones. He is survived by his children, Casey Trease (Toni Trease), Morgan Thompson (Shane Kenefick), Darbi Trease (Mike Reynolds), and Dillon Trease (Blakley Rhees). Siblings, Frank Trease , Rick Trease, Leslie Wilder, Leah Watt. His Cherished grandchildren, and many more beloved friends and family.
